  • The T-28 Trojan first flew in September 1949, and the type stayed in U.S. service for more than 30 years. Powered by a Wright R-1300 radial engine in Air Force service as the T-28A, and a more powerful Wright R-1820 radial in Navy service, the T-28B, the Trojan entered service in 1950.Designed to replace the aging T-6 Texans, the powerful performance of the T-28 made useful as a ground attack and counter-insurgency aircraft. The T-28 Trojan was phased out of U.S. Air Force training by the early 1960s, it continued in Navy use until 1984, when it was replaced by the T-34C Turbo Mentor.

This handcrafted model is painted in the same paint scheme as the original and is painstakingly built from Philippine mahogany by our skilled craftsmen. Perfect as a gift for any aviation enthusiast and history buff!
