The F-14 Tomcat has been the Navy’s front line fighter since the 1970’s. In Rick Herter’s scenic portrayal three Tomcats on a cross country flight enjoy a majestic view of the surrounding landscape. This historic formation features an F-14A from VF-14 the Top Hatters in the lead. The right wing aircraft is an F-14B from VF-143 the world Famous Pukin Dogs. Completing the formation is the newest version of the Tomcat, an F-14D Super Tomcat of VF-31 the Tom Catter’s. The F-14 Tomcats have all been retired.
