2nd Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment comprised the headquarters element of Task Force (TF) Saber as part of TF Destiny (101st Combat Aviation Brigade). TF Saber performed exceptionally over a 12 month period in support of Operation Enduring Freedom X-XI from 2010 to 2011 across 22,000 square miles of Southern Afghanistan, including Kandahar Province.
