The New York Central System’s 20th Century Limited was an Art Deco styled Streamliner Express passenger train designed by Henry Dreyfuss. It operated between New York City and Chicago from 1938 to 1967. It is widely considered to be the most famous (and beautiful) American train. In this scene, three 20th Century locomotives are shown in the Schenectady, NY yard, circa 1938.
