Passengers and baggage wait on the platform of the beautiful Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway depot in San Diego, California circa 1948. In the foreground, a diesel powered Santa Fe Super Chief passenger train (sporting its famous "Warbonnet" paint scheme) is about to depart. The Mission Revival styled station was built in 1915 as part of the Panama-California Exposition, and it is still a busy hub for rail transportation today.
