“Passing the Torch” depicts the tradition of U.S. Army Air Assault that was pioneered and forged in battle during the Vietnam War and is carried on so ably and proudly by modern day forces. In the foreground, a UH-60 Blackhawk pulls pitch after discharging soldiers, as one looks back through the rotorwash as if to communicate with the Vietnam Era Huey and soldiers that went before him.
