A Shot Across the Bow: The B-26 Marauder Torpedo Attack at Midway

June 4, 1942, 7:10 a.m., 150 miles northwest of Midway Atoll . . . Moments after releasing a torpedo at the Japanese carrier Akagi, the B-26 Marauder "Suzy-Q" thunders down the carrier's flight deck, nearly grazing the bridge. 1st Lt James P.
