Echoes of Amelia by Darby Perrin

Amelia Earhart’s last flight was made July 2, 1937 in a Lockheed Electra model 10E Special, tail number NR16020. Earhart and her navigator, Fred Noonan, took off from Lae Airfield in Papua New Guinea en route to Howland Island, located just north of the equator, about 1,700 nautical miles southwest of Honolulu.
