Colonel Jimmy Doolittle leads his team of 16 B-25 Mitchell bombers off the heaving deck of the U.S. carrier Hornet bound for Tokyo on the morning of April 18, 1942. Some 13 hours and 2,250 miles later, Doolittle and his crews ended their one-way mission in China, with Tokyo reeling from its first air raid of the war.
Signed by four of the brave Doolittle Raiders who flew this mission.
